il giardino di mia moglia: 22 Luglio 2017 (SAT)

Today was a busy day in, "il giardino di mia moglia..."

Harvested dill (not weighed). Problem is, due to the excessively hot weather this past week, most of it was yellow and started to flower. So, I only picked the green dill that I could find.. and I left the others to go ahead and flower and form seeds... hopefully, we will get a lot of seeds....

Here's what I could find..

Next, I turned my attention to the kale:

Picked 16 leaves (avg weight ~ 40g/ leaf) for a total of 640 g (0.64 kg); [Cumulative Total = 680 g; 0.68 kg].. washed them, dried them on the line, but they were starting to wilt, so, once dry, I brought them in the house and then put them upright in a bottle..

washed the leaves in the kitchen and thought to dry them like so.. but it was too hot and humid (>90 F), so after 15 min, I took them off the line and brought them back in the house..

yep, I hung kale leaves on the clothesline.. it's come to this..

then I put them in a bottle with some Poland Spring water in there... hoping to eat this kale tomorrow or Monday..

Next, I pruned the basil plant... and here is what we got today. This was 40 g (0.04 kg); [Cumulative Total: 40 g; 0.040 kg]:

this was about 40 g..

I washed it, dried it outside under the sun for ~30 min.. and then hung it up in my kitchen... hope this is OK..

Next was the 31 yellow beans (are these wax beans?) from Zone D. The string beans in Zone A are growing, but no big beans yet.. These beans weighed 160 g, 0.160 kg [Cumulative Total: 160 g; 0.160 kg].
